Computer Facilities:
The computer laboratories of MCA have been put on a fiber optic backbone with 3Com Superstack Switches and have sharable IBM Windows 2003, HP Windows NT, Alpha DS-10 RISC OpenVMS, RedHat LINUX and Novell servers with all the necessary software packages and host of peripherals. 90 Pentium machines are exclusively allocated to MCA programme. Internet facility is available to all students through a dedicated high speed 512 KBPS connection from VSNL and 512 KBPS connection from ExattNet.
Library Facilities:The institute library is computerized and has a rich collection of books on Computer Science. It has acquired more than 3400 books covering almost all areas of computer science and subscribed to more than 30 national as well as international journals and periodicals in this discipline.
7. Hostel Facility: The institution is situated in the central part of the city. Assistance is provided for locating suitable private hostel facility.
8. Placement In The Industry: Many software companies and industries have been coming for campus interviews. In addition, the institutes placement cell actively assists the students in choosing and obtaining project assignments as well as suitable jobs in the industry. Well-established local companies like PCS, Elitecore, Argusoft, Net4Nuts, Elegant Microweb, Cygnet, Ashima Textiles etc. have been coming for the on-campus and off-campus interviews. Renowned multinational software companies such as Oracle, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Zensar, Cognizant, Sybase, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Siemens, Satyam etc. have recruited several of the students from this institute.
9. USP of the Institute: (1)Prof. R. P. Soni, who has more than 39 years of experience in Computer Science Education and IT Management to his credit has been involved with this institute. (2) The GLS student branch of Computer Society of India organizes high level technical events regularly. (3) The laboratory facility is open to students for access on all days including Sundays. It functions in an open shop environment. Separate Experimental Laboratory is also available to the students for hands-on unscheduled experiments. (4) Past students have formed an Alumni Association mainly with an objective to provide guidance and support to current students in locating the suitable projects and employment opportunities. (5) Five students from Sem-I, five students from Sem-III and four students from Sem-V secured positions in top-10 in the January 2007 university examinations.
